Our Pastoral Family

Rev. Omar and Mrs. Luz Valcárcel

Our History

Founded in 1961

It was by God's will that in 1961, Brother Montalvo who belonged to the Pentecostal Church of the Synagogue, along with Brother Dominguez, a member of the Christian Church John 3:16, which was pastored by Rev. Ricardo Tañon, decided to open this work for him Lord, which was located at 630 10th Ave. in Manhattan, between 44th and 45th streets.

Lic. Arcadio Bernard

1962-1968

Ricardo Tañon, sent Brother Arcadio Bernard as pastor, who worked and achieved that our church became a mission of the Christian Church John 3:16.

Rev. Juan and Sr. Sarah Manzano

1968-1972

In 1968, Rev. Juan Manzano, affiliated the church to the Eastern Hispanic District, Assemblies of God. Juan Manzano pastored this congregation for four years and in 1972 he was transferred to pastor the Sea of Galilee Church. He left the church John 3:16 with a new vision to obtain his own temple

Rev. Miguel Gonzalez

1972-1973

In 1972, Rev. Miguel Gonzalez came to shepherd, who shepherded less than a year; but in the midst of that short time, he took a giant step for the work. He even incorporated it into the state and legally registered it with a certificate and corporate seal.

Rev. Juan and Sr. Blanca Cabrera

1973-2018

In September 1973, Rev. Juan R. Cabrera and his wife Blanca Iris Cabrera were elected as pastors by the congregation. They were members of Del Valle Christian Church, and workers of the Hispanic District of the East. Under their leadership, the church purchased its own building in 1975 at 534 W. 29th St. in Manhattan. The church remained there until 2013 when they sold the building. From 2013 to 2016, the church was temporarily located at the Sea of Galilee Church. In June 2016, we held our first service in our new church building at 85 Forbell St. in Brooklyn.
